Customers select their desired flavor and size, make a payment, and the machine automatically creates fresh cotton candy within 2 minutes.
The core principle of the cotton candy vending machine is high-temperature sugar melting + high-speed centrifugal spinning + automatic winding and forming + intelligent control of product dispensing. It transforms white granulated sugar into fluffy sugar threads and automatically packs them, with the entire process taking 45–90 seconds and requiring no manual intervention.
1. Overall Process (6 Major Steps)
User places an order and makes payment
Touch the screen to select flavor/pattern → scan the code/face recognition payment → the system automatically initiates the sugar production process.
Precise supply of raw materials
Multi-bin food-grade storage (capable of storing 4–6 different colors/flavors of granulated sugar) → spiral/solenoid valve for quantitative sugar dispensing (25–35g per serving) → dispensed into the heating furnace head.
Melt into syrup at high temperature
Heat the burner to 140–200℃ (temperature control ±5℃) → melt sugar into liquid syrup → maintain heat to prevent burning.
High-speed centrifugal spinning (core)
The burner rotates at a high speed of 3000–5000 rpm → centrifugal force ejects the syrup from micron-sized holes → it instantly crystallizes into 10–20μm thin sugar threads upon encountering cold air.
Automatic winding and forming
The paper stick is automatically fed out → gripped and rotated by the robotic arm → wound around the sugar threads at a constant speed → forming a spherical/conical marshmallow.
Automatic shipment and cleaning
Finished products are moved to the pickup port → the hatch is opened for pickup → automatic air sweeping / water rinsing of the burner head to prevent residue.
II. Core Structure and Function
Storage silo system: multi-bin independent storage, precise metering, supports multiple flavors.
Heating furnace head: stainless steel chamber + temperature controller, maintaining a stable temperature range of 140–200℃, ensuring sugar melting without burning.
Centrifugal spinning disc: High-speed rotation (3000–5000rpm), spinning through small holes, determines the thickness and fluffiness of the sugar filaments.
Robotic arm / Rotating bracket: Automatic rod feeding, clamping, wire winding, and stable forming.
Intelligent control board: PLC/microcontroller + sensor, controlling temperature, speed, time, and fault self-checking.
Payment and interaction module: touch screen, QR code scanning, coin acceptor, enabling unmanned sales.
III. Key Technical Parameters
Sugar making time: 45–90 seconds per portion
Burner temperature: 140–200℃
Spinning speed: 3000–5000 rpm
Diameter of sugar threads: 10–20 micrometers
Single serving weight: 25–35 grams
Number of flavors: 4–6 (multiple ingredient bins)
IV. Safety and Smart Design
Fully enclosed sugar production: Avoiding manual contact and meeting food-grade safety standards.
AI visual inspection: real-time monitoring of molding quality, automatic wire compensation for anomalies.
Internet of Things (IoT) operation and maintenance: Remote monitoring of raw materials, sales volume, and malfunctions, with automatic early warning.
Multiple safety protections: overheat protection, anti-pinch, electric leakage protection, and timeout shutdown.
Cotton candy vending machine - DLight technology
Are vending machines profitable? Yes, vending machines can be profitable. The average vending machine earns $35 a week, but vending machines that are well-stocked and placed in safe, high-traffic locations can generate over $400 a month
How much does a cotton candy machine cost? Cotton candy machines are made available in the market starting at $6500 per piece. Our factory provides free sticker design, which can be modified up to 3 times.
The full-automatic cotton candy machine has special sugar. The particle size is 2-3mm. It can take different colors and tastes, but they must be dry.
Cotton candy is also called spun sugar, because sugar is literally spun into light and airy strands of sweet deliciousness. You could simply pour regular granulated sugar into the machine and it would spin into a cotton candy fluff. However, most people want a bit of flavor and color added to their treat.
Orange. This is a kind of orange sugar with orange flavor. It can give cotton candy a different taste when combined with a variety of different sugars.
